BIOGRAPHY

Pogrebovsky graduated from the Conducting and Choral Department at the National College of Music (Izhevsk, class of Elena Shishkina) in 2005, and from the Conducting Faculty of theAcademyofChoral Artnamed after V. S. Popov (class of Professor Vera Safonova) in 2010. As part of the choir of the Academy he went on tour toSwitzerland,Japan, andGermany. Between 2011 and 2012 he was a singer of the Symphonic Choir of the Sverdlovsk Academic Philharmonic Society (Yekaterinburg).

Since 2012 he has been a singer of the musicAeterna chorus of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. His repertoire includes such roles as Misail (Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov); Triquet (Eugene Onegin), Minstrel (The Maid of Orleans), Master of Ceremonies (The Queen of Spades), Almeric (Iolanta) — in operas by Tchaikovsky; Lopez, Second Novice (Prokofiev’s The Duenna (Betrothal in a Monastery)), Le Doyen de la Facultè (Massenet’s Cendrillon, or the Tale of Cinderella), Parpinol (Puccini’s La bohème), the Chancellor, April, May, First Herald (The Twelve Months by Banevich), Andrès, Cochenille, Frantz, Pitichinaccio and Nathanael (Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann).
