The premiere of the opera Grandpa Lear. Journey to the land of Jumblies for kids
In the end of December we will have a very special premiere for our young friends — opera Grandpa Lear. Journey to the land of Jumblies. It will be a real adventure! Following the route through foyer and theatre stairs children and their parents will face several fascinating scenes with opera characters. Moreover, during the production they will have a chance to play and to sing together with artists. Finally everyone will get their rewards — the hidden land of Jumblies will reveal its secrets.
Our guests will be the first to hear new opera by Petr Pospelov. Librettist Ekaterina Pospelova got her inspiration in nonsense poems — limericks — by Edward Lear, an English poet of XIXth century.
Aerial decorations and funny steampunk puppets by artist Viktor Grigoriev will create a fairy tale environment which will seems to burst into the theatre foyer from the outside though windows. Directors Vyacheslav Ignatov and Maria Litvinova staged in Perm Stage-Molot and in Moscow Praktika famous A Tale That Wasn't Written and more than 10 productions for families in other Russian theatres.
We can’t wait to we see you in Perm Opera on December 23, 24, 26, 27, 28 and January 2 and 4! Twice a day!
