Alexander Egorov

Biography

Egorov graduated from the Moscow Academy of Choral Art named after V. S. Popov (2007) in the field of Conducting and Academic vocals. In 2006, he studied at the International School of Vocal Arts under the guidance of Dmitry Vdovin, where he participated in master classes held by Diane Zola and George Darden. Between 2007 and 2008 he trained at Opera Studio Nederland (Amsterdam,Netherlands).

In 2007 he sang bass in Requiem and Krönungsmesse by Mozart under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov.

Between 2008 and 2009 he was a soloist in Ulm (Germany). Between 2009 and 2010 he worked as a soloist of the Netherlands Opera (Amsterdam). Between 2011 and 2012 he worked as an artist of the choir and soloist of the State Symphony Capella of Russia. In 2011, he sang the First Soldier in a concert performance of the opera Salome by Strauss in the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam).

Since 2012 he has been a member of the musicAeterna chorus of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. He is a soloist in the following performances: Le Surintendant des plaisirs (Massenet’s Cendrillon, or the Tale of Cinderella), Varlaam (Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov), Zaretsky (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Don Carlos, Father Chartreuse, Third Mask (Prokofiev’s The Duenna (Betrothal in a Monastery)), Dr. Falke (Strauss’s Die Fledermaus), Wilhelm (Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann) and Sacristan (Puccini’s Tosca).

He is a prize winner of the International Student Vocal Competition Bella voce (Moscow, 2006).
