Elena Galeeva

Biography

Galeeva is a soloist of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. She graduated from the department of choral singing at the Republican school of arts (at presentCollegeofArtsof theKomiRepublic) in 1997, and from the Perm State Institute (Academy) of Art and Culture in 2004.

Her repertoire includes: Bertha (Rossini`s The Barber of Seville); Annina (Verdi`s La traviata); Kate (Puccini`s Madame Butterfly), Mercedes (Bizet`s Carmen), Noémie (Massenet`s Cendrillon, or the Tale of Cinderella); Kseniya (Mussorgsky`s Boris Godunov); Masha (The Queen of Spades) and Brigitta (Iolanta) — Tchaikovsky. Her recent parts include: The Mine Supervisor’s Wife (Batin`s The Malachite Casket), Smeraldina (Journey to the Land of the Jumblies by Pospelov) and Sister Dolcina (Puccini`s Suor Angelica).

She is a prize winner of the International Vocal Competition.
