Igor Fomin

Biography

In 2009, Igor graduated from the Herzen State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg.

In 2007−2009, he was a technical director at the Entresol Actors’ Club (affiliate of the Satire Theatre on Vasilevsky Island). Since 2007, he has been cooperating with the AXE Engineering Theatre, for which he was in charge of lighting for the Continuous Curve and The Middle of Black performances. Lighting designer for DEREVO Theatre productions (Diagnosis, A Drop in the Ocean, Mephisto-Waltz, Harlequin, Quetzal. Chapter 2.) and solo performances by Anton Adasinsky.

He also collaborates with directors Giuliano Di Capua (Madame V., Medea), Andrei Moguchy (Happiness, Alexandrinsky Theatre, nomination for the «Golden Mask» Award 2012 «the best light work in drama»), Pavel Semchenko (The Bluebeard, The Hope of Women), Tatyana Khabarova (Settimana), Maxim Didenko (The Earth, Alexandrinsky Theatre); with the choreographer Vladimir Varnava (The Passenger, Notes of a Madman, Overcoat. Ballet, The Stone Shore, Mozart and Salieri, Daphnis et Chloé).

He is a winner of the «Harlequin” Award 2016 for the best light design: Wanderings of Niels at the Lensovet Theatre (St. Petersburg).
