First Prize at the competition EOP (European Opera-Directing Prize) 2001 for Beethoven´s Fidelio, which premiered during the International May Festival at the Hessian State Theatre of Wiesbaden.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Offenburg, Germany. Study of Theatre History, German Literature and Art History at Freiburg University and Munich University.

Assistant director at Theatre Freiburg and Linz State Theatre, Austria. At Theatre Freiburg first work as a stage director with Carl Orff´s The Moon. For two decades working as a freelance Stage manager and Production manager at Salzburg Festival and Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.

Followed by opera productions at Linz State Theatre of Oscar Straus´s operetta The funny Nibelungs, at Opera Festival Klosterneuburg Vienna of Rossini´s L´italiana in Algeri, and at Theatre Biel-Solothurn, Switzerland, of Niccolo Piccini´s Didon, Mozart´s Le nozze di Figaro and La clemenza di Tito.

Freelance Assistant director at Opera St. Margarethen, Austria, and at Theatre St. Gallen, Switzerland. In 2017 assisting at the original production of La bohème at Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. Currently working as an Assistant director at the Bayreuth Festival on the new production of The Ring of the Nibelung, upcoming on summer 2022.
