Timofey Vershinin

Biography

Vershinin is a graduate of the Rostov State Rachmaninov Conservatory. Between 2008 and 2009 he was part of the Rostov Musical Theatre and between 2011 and 2015 he was a soloist of the Rostov State Philharmonic. He has participated in joint projects of the The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Rostov Musical Theatre: Ariadne on Naxos by Richard Strauss (Valet, Footman, 2009) and War and Peace by Prokofiev (Jacquot, 2010). His repertoire also includes Bartolo (Mozart`s Le nozze di Figaro), King René (Tchaikovsky`s Iolanta), and A Matchmaker, The Equerry and The Huntsman (Dargomyzhsky`s Rusalka). In January 2014 Vershinin took part in a one-man show of Shostakovich’s Rayok. He won second prize at the international vocal competition Academia inPerm in 2014.
