Vladimir Taisaev

Biography
Taisaev is a soloist of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. He graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Musical Theatre of the RussianAcademyof Theatre Arts (GITIS, at present the University), class of Docent Veronika Borisenko, People’s Artist of Russia, and was accepted into the North Ossetian State Musical Theatre company. He has been with the Perm Opera since 1994. He collaborates with opera houses in Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Syktyvkarand Vladikavkaz. Taisaev performs almost the entire repertoire of classical bass parts. His concert repertoire includes the bass parts in Mozart`s Requiem, Shostakovich’s The Execution of Stepan Razin and Rayok, and Stravinsky’s Pulcinella. In 2008, he was part of the Perm Opera troupe that performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and in 2009 he performed in Moscow and the Golden Mask festival (Monteverdi`s L’Orfeo). He also took part in a tour of Europe andAmerica.
In 2010 he participated in the opera project Fidelio by Beethoven at Perm-36, the Gulag museum and memorial site. He teaches at the Perm College of Music, where he has performed a number of shows: Mozart`s Bastien und Bastienneby, Offenbach`s La belle Hélène, Shostakovich`s Balda, The Count of Luxembourg by Lehár and The Bremen Town Musicians by Gladkov. His recent roles include Mendoza (Prokofiev’s The Duenna (Betrothal in a Monastery)), Second SS-Man (Weinberg`s The Passenger) and Angelotti (Puccini`s Tosca).
