An evening of contemporary choreography to music by Maurice Ravel, Nikolai Tcherepnin, Anatoly Lyadov, and Claude Debussy

The project of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre is timed to and will be premiered at the opening of the 17th Russian Open Ballet Competition "Arabesque 2022" named after Ekaterina Maximova and is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great "Citizen of Perm" Sergei Diaghilev. "Diaghilev. HOMMAGE" includes four new choreographic works on the music and themes of the Russian Seasons’s ballet productions ("The Gardens of Aranjuez", "Games", "Kikimora" and "Armida Pavilion"). The new works are created by guest choreographers — laureates of "Arabesque" of previous years: Yulia Bacheva (St. Petersburg), Alexander Mogilev (Moscow), Alexey Rastorguev (Perm), Yulia Repitsyna (Chelyabinsk) for the theatre company. The artistic director of the project is the USSR People's Artist Vladimir Vasiliev.
