Biography

Studied at the Belorussian State Academy of Music. In 2005 he entered the St. Petersburg State Conservatoire, where he studied with Irina Bogacheva. Between 2009 and 2012 Boris has been a member of the Young Artists’ Programme at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre as First Armed Man in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and later also sang Almeric in Tchaikovsky’s Iolantha. He has been on tour with the Bolshoi to Warsaw (Philharmonic Hall) and Dresden (Semperoper) as Almeric. In December 2010 he made his debut as Lykov in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride and in February 2011 as Alfred in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. He also performed the role of Gvidon in the new production of Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Golden Cockerel directed by Kirill Serebrennikov and conducted by Vassily Sinaisky. In December 2009 he performed the part of Arbace in a concert performance of Mozart’s Idomeneo with Musica Viva Chamber Orchestra conducted by Alexander Rudin at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. In October 2011 he makes his debut as Alfredo in Verdi’s La Traviata with the Goettingen Symphony Orchestra.

Has collaborated with musicAeterna Orchestra conducted by Teodor Currentzis (Zender`s Schuberts «Winterreise», 2014), Thomas Sanderling (Vagner`s Der fl iegende Holländer, 2013) and Valentin Uryupin (Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, 2013), and with Symphony Orchestra of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre conducted by Valery Platonov (Rossini`s Stabat Mater, 2014). 

In 2011/2012 he performed at the Bolshoi Theatre in various roles, including Lykov, Alfred, Gvidon and Almeric and was add some new roles to his repertoire, such as Ismaele in Verdi’s Nabucco and Italian Tenor in a new production of Richard Strauss‘ Der Rosenkavalier by Steven Lawless and Lukash in a new production of Tchaikovsky’s The Enchantress conducted by Alexander Lazarev. In March 2013 he makes his debut as Alfredo in Atlanta Opera (USA).

He has won numerous prizes, including the Stanislav Moniushko Vocal Competition (Minsk, 2003, III Prize) and International Vocal Competition in Colmenar Viejo (Spain, 2009).
