The journey begins in the lobby near the monument to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, whose name the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre has borne with dignity since 1965. The route then passes through the orchestra pit and the stage, with a mandatory stop at a historical monument — brickwork carefully preserved since the opening of the stone theatre building in the 19th century. Along the way, the guides tell about the main facts in the history of the oldest musical theater in the Urals. And, of course, they recall anecdotes from the life of the theater: for example, how the legendary aviator Chkalov saved a singer during a performance when her wig caught fire from a candle flame. The participants of the excursion pass through choir and ballet rehearsal rooms, and make a stop in the foyer.
